By accessing or using SourceSplash ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SourceSplash provides an API service that delivers images from third-party sources including Pexels and other licensed image providers. We act as an intermediary, proxying images for your convenience.

3. Usage Rights

3.1 API Access: You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the API subject to these terms and your selected plan limits.

3.2 Image Licenses: Images are provided from third-party sources (primarily Pexels). All images are subject to the original source's licensing terms:

  • Pexels images are provided under the Pexels License
  • You must comply with the original image provider's terms
  • We do not claim ownership of any images served through our API
  • Attribution is recommended but not required (per Pexels License)

4. Rate Limits and Fair Use

4.1 Free Tier: 100 requests per hour per IP address

4.2 Fair Use: You agree not to abuse the service by:

  • Circumventing rate limits
  • Using multiple accounts to exceed limits
  • Scraping or downloading bulk images
  • Reselling or redistributing our API access

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use SourceSplash to:

  • Display illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Spam or conduct malicious activities
  • Compete with or replicate our service

6. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but make no guarantees. The service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

SourceSplash shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
