This Acceptable Use Policy outlines prohibited behaviors to ensure SourceSplash remains a fair, secure, and reliable service for all users.

Prohibited Activities

1. Abuse & Circumvention

You may NOT:

  • ⛔ Circumvent rate limits using multiple IPs, accounts, or proxies
  • ⛔ Use automated tools to scrape or download bulk images
  • ⛔ Resell, redistribute, or white-label our API service
  • ⛔ Create derivative services that compete with SourceSplash
  • ⛔ Reverse engineer or decompile our service

2. Illegal Content

You may NOT use SourceSplash to display or distribute:

  • ⛔ Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • ⛔ Content promoting terrorism or violence
  • ⛔ Copyrighted material without permission
  • ⛔ Content that violates any laws or regulations

3. Harmful Content

You may NOT use our service for:

  • ⛔ Phishing or social engineering attacks
  • ⛔ Malware distribution or command & control
  • ⛔ Spam or unsolicited commercial messages
  • ⛔ Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination

4. System Integrity

You may NOT:

  • ⛔ Launch denial-of-service (DoS) attacks
  • ⛔ Probe or scan our infrastructure for vulnerabilities
  • ⛔ Interfere with service operations
  • ⛔ Access other users' data or accounts

Enforcement

Violations Result In:

⚠️ Warning

Minor violations receive a warning email

🚫 Suspension

Repeated violations result in temporary account suspension

⛔ Permanent Ban

Severe violations (illegal content, attacks) result in permanent ban and potential legal action

  • ✅ Demo websites and portfolio projects
  • ✅ Educational materials and tutorials
  • ✅ Personal blogs and hobby projects
  • ✅ Open-source projects and documentation

⚠️ Contact Us First:

  • High-traffic commercial websites
  • Enterprise applications
  • Services requiring >1,000 requests/hour
  • Bulk image downloading or archiving
